Terms of Service

Last updated 28 September 2026

These terms govern your use of the stipnd mobile app and stipnd.app, operated by Campus Uni ("stipnd", "we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use stipnd.

1. What stipnd does

stipnd is a community for online degree students. It lets you join the Community for your university and course, post and comment, follow and chat with other students, discover university programs, complete and submit an application, pay course fees, and earn a reward for referring other applicants who enrol.

We are not a university and we do not decide admissions. We pass your application to the institution you choose. Whether you are admitted, on what terms, and what the programme costs, is entirely the university's decision. We do not guarantee admission, a scholarship, a seat, or any particular outcome.

2. Eligibility and your account

3. Documents and identity information

You confirm that every document and identifier you upload or share — including marksheets, certificates, Aadhaar, ABC/APAAR and DEB IDs — belongs to you and is genuine. Uploading someone else's documents, or forged documents, is a serious breach of these terms and we will close your account.

Where you choose to fetch documents from DigiLocker, you authorise us to retrieve only the documents you consent to in DigiLocker, and to attach them to your application.

4. Fees and payments

5. Referrals and rewards

6. Withdrawals

You can withdraw a confirmed wallet balance to a bank account or UPI ID in your own name. Our staff verify each payout account before paying to it, and send each payout by hand, which may take a few working days. You are responsible for any tax due on what you earn.

Deleting your account forfeits any unwithdrawn balance. Withdraw first.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

8. Communities and chat

stipnd has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. By using Communities and chat you agree to these rules.

In posts, comments, your profile and chat messages, you must not share:

Reporting and blocking. Every post, comment and profile has a Report option, and you can block any user. Once you block someone, neither of you can see the other's posts and comments, message the other, or follow the other.

Moderation. Our staff review reports and act on them within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks these terms, and we suspend or close the accounts of users who post it. We may also remove content or restrict an account without a report, and without notice, where we believe it breaks these terms.

You are responsible for what you post and send. Other users' content is theirs, not ours, and we do not endorse it.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us permission to store and process it, to show your posts, comments and profile to other stipnd users, and to send your application to the institutions you apply to, for the purpose of running the service. See our Privacy Policy for the detail.

10. Availability

We work to keep stipnd available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change, and we may suspend or discontinue parts of the service. We will give notice where we reasonably can.

11. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time — see stipnd.app/account-deletion. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, we are not liable for admission decisions, university refund policies, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount of stipnd service fees you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use stipnd after a change means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
