Delete your account
Last updated 2 August 2026
You can delete your stipnd account and your data at any time, directly in the
app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
From inside the app
- Open the stipnd app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
- Read what will be erased, type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete account.
If you have already uninstalled the app
Email [email protected] from the email
address on your account, or include the phone number you signed up with, and
ask us to delete your account. We will verify that the request comes from you
and complete it within 30 days. There is no charge.
What is deleted
Immediately and permanently:
- Your profile: name, phone number, email, age, college, bio and avatar
-
Every document you uploaded or fetched from DigiLocker — marksheets,
certificates, identity proof, Aadhaar
- Your passport photograph and your signature
- All application details, including government identifiers (Aadhaar, ABC/APAAR, DEB)
- Your bank account holder name, account number and IFSC
- Your wallet balance, earnings and withdrawal history
- Your referrals, and your sign-in sessions on every device
- Your push notification tokens and your notification history
- Your details on the record of whoever referred you
What is kept, and for how long
For 30 days after deletion we keep the amount, date and
payment-gateway reference of payments you made and payouts you
received, so they can be reconciled against our payment provider's statements.
These records contain no name, contact details, documents or bank details, and
are automatically deleted at the end of the 30 days.
Applications already submitted to a university. Once your
application has been sent, that university holds its own copy under its own
privacy policy. Deleting your stipnd account does not withdraw the application
or erase the university's copy — please contact the university directly.
Before you delete: withdraw any earnings still in your wallet.
Deleting your account forfeits an unwithdrawn balance, and it cannot be
recovered. Signing up again later creates a brand new account — it does not
restore this one.
